meet miss ginny williford. now, the poor girl's had a hard life, not unlike a lot of the students here. see, she grew up in a small polygamist mormon sect in texas and was married off at age thirteen to a man nearly four times her age. around ten months later she bore him his seventy-second child. when authorities ripped the entire community apart she was sent here. now, she's just trying to understand everything that has happened to her, never having known another life until now. she is not bitter particularly about being here, just not sure why she is here. she still feels like she did something wrong. part of her outlet is getting into drama, orchestra, and choir, though she is taking interest in the riding program as well. she is something of an artsy sort, overall, and though rather intelligent, everything she was taught in school before now was highly censored and even altered so she often looks dumb in class. taught to be submissive, she tends to keep her head down much of the time and is extremely deferential toward men, including male students. she loves doing domestic sorts of things: knitting, baking, and whatnot. truly, she is very sweet, she just needs to be reached out to.

ginny's sheltered life leads her to feel fearful around many of the kids she meets here. however, especially when someone reaches out to her she is friendly. she is far more comfortable around girls friend wise, but i think a nice enough guy could get her to open up. she's more the type to sit or walk and talk than go do activities with friends, but that's mainly just because it's what she's used to. she is very open about her life thus far, unable to comprehend that the things that happened to her are wrong, which tends to engender a lot of respect for her from those that are willing to listen. however, she is rather sensitive and will burst into tears when someone says something insensitive or that reminds her of a part of her life she'd like to forget, putting a lot of people off.

so there will probably be some people who don't like ginny. her timidity, occasional bursts of tears, and her bizarre mix of shelteredness and utter lack of naïveté tend to toss people off. like when she mistakenly referred to barack obama as the "great leader" in history class. surely someone's got to be annoyed by that kind of thing. but, to be honest, i'm not a huge fan of enemy plots, so while you're welcome to suggest, just know i suck at these kinds of plots.

romance... oh my, my, my. all lost in the world, ginny's majorly confused about what love even is; she certainly never experienced any true love from of for her lech of a husband. while she is not naïve about sexual things in the slightest, she desperately wants to understand love, but isn't really ready for it. thus, she is already plotted to get involved in a dangerous relationship, specifically with the school psychologist, dr. lewis, as a means of discovering what love is. however, when that ends, she's going to need someone else, someone serious. i was thinking maybe a kid deercreek has worked for, someone who's turned it around. but, hey, i'm always a fan of messing with my characters, so throw something at me.

aside from all that i'm always for a good plot so don't fear. toss anything at me; i don't care about playbys or any of that. oh, and check out my request page which i will link here when it goes up in the near future. taking one of my requested characters would make me your best friend. :)

so, underneath his tough guy exterior, blaine here is actually kind of a teddy bear and he's working really hard to make deer creek work for him because he doesn't wanna end up like his mom. i'm thinking i can see him in a protective older brother type relationship with ginny. like, he's deathly curious, so he'd seek her out and want to know more about her. and i can see him making her cry and being like, "shit no, wait, stop crying, please?" and hugging her and just generally being his teddy bear self trying to take care of her and help her figure things out. yeah?

I could definitely get with that. -nod- Ginny is, as I mentioned, very quiet and respectful, almost to the point of awkwardness, around men, but I think we could make it work. Perhaps he could help her get over that, even? The poor girl could definitely use a male influence who doesn't see her as a piece of cattle to be traded. :(
